Some Arsenal supporters are desperate for the club to make a move for PSV Eindhoven right-back Denzel Dumfries this summer.
The 25-year-old defender is currently enjoying a tremendous Euro 2020 campaign with the Netherlands – where he scored in his country’s opening two matches against Ukraine and Austria.
Dumfries is a very attacking right-back and once again looked fantastic for Holland in their final group clash with North Macedonia on Monday evening.
His performances for his country so far have attracted the attention of some Arsenal fans on Twitter, with the supporters calling for their club to make a move in the coming months.
These calls from the Gunners fans do make sense, with the club being named as potential suitors for several right-backs this summer, including Jonjoe Kenny, Tariq Lamptey and Zeki Celik being linked in recent days.
Bellerin completing a move to Real Betis is ‘difficult, but not impossible’, it is understood, with the Spaniard’s long affiliation with the Gunners set to reach its conclusion.
Arsenal fans are hoping that Dumfries is an option that could be considered by Edu, but if that is indeed to be the case then there might be some serious competition for his signature.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern are interested in the PSV full-back and could make a move for him this summer as Julian Nagelsmann looks to bolster his defensive options at his new club.
The same report suggests that Dumfries has a €15million (£12.8m) release clause in his contract with the Dutch club.
Dumfries recently opened up on where his future lies with plenty of speculation over a move this summer.
The summer window is officially open, and it’s going to be tough to keep up with the comings and goings in and out of the Emirates.
