Premier League postpone Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace due to further Covid cases

Crystal Palace’s game against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow is set to be called off due to further Covid-19 cases within the Eagles’ camp, understands.

Two members of Palace’s backroom staff have tested positive for the virus, which adds to the small number of cases reported within the playing group by manager Patrick Vieira on Friday.

The Crystal Palace players had delayed travelling to their hotel on Christmas Day until they could hear back from the Premier League, whose response was to call off the game.

Vieira had admitted on Friday he was “worried” about how the weekend would unravel for the club, having already announced that players had been isolating after receiving positive tests within the week.

We’ll be updating this article more as the story develops.
