Roman Abramovich gives Chelsea the ultimate Ben Chilwell solution with £45m French rising star – Anita Abayomi

Good news Blues, an adequate replacement for Ben Chilwell has finally been scouted.

He currently resides in the depths of Italy, revolutionising his left-back role warranting him his badges in the France national team.

Whilst one of our own Fikayo Tomori is gifted, Theo Hernandez could be sent the other way as Roman Abramovich searches for his next source of success.

Chelsea remains a contender to become Premier League champions this season. Six points separate them and Manchester City currently. If the Blue’s can pick up some momentum and get through the rest of the December period, there is no doubt that they may catch up. They know what needs to be done in the January transfer window. They need a new left-back – they need one fast.

Theo Hernandez of AC Milan celebrates after scoring their sides third goal during the Serie A match between AC Milan and SS Lazio at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on December 23, 2020 in Milan, Italy. Sporting stadiums around Italy remain under strict restrictions due to the Coronavirus Pandemic as Government social distancing laws prohibit fans inside venues resulting in games being played behind closed doors.
AC Milan’s left back could answer Chelsea’s prayers if they wish to open talks in January for Chilwell replacement.

The Chelsea squad just hasn’t been the same since Ben Chilwell’s departure. The chemistry on the left flank has deteriorated massively from what we had been used to when he was in the team. It’s unfortunate that it has worked out this way. Chilwell’s current replacement Marcos Alonso has been a long-serving Chelsea player. He was once hailed as Europes most elite wing-back.

Let’s keep it real, Alonso had super Saiyan skills under former boss Antonio Conte. However, it is now time to move on. Unlike Thiago Silva, the 30-year-old has not quite aged like fine wine. Fans have grown increasingly frustrated with him and are calling for his departure. The situation seems dire and that’s when AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez comes in.

El Nacional reports that Tuchel has informed Abramovich of his admiration for the full-back and that the Chelsea owner is preparing to make an offer.

I have put a lot of stocks in the former Real Madrid player. He excels in 1v1s, is a posing threat in the attack as well as a solid defender. His link-up play could replicate that of Ben Chilwell’s and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s that many Chelsea fans adored before the incident against Juventus in the Champions League.

It’s been a long time coming but it finally seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for Chelsea. He is currently valued at £45m on TransferMarkt. I previously asked, will Chelsea be comfortable in paying over £45 million for the left-back?

Considering that Chilwell will be back potentially before the end of the season. The answer is yes. As of right now, the Blue’s need all the help that they can get if they are to compete in all competitions.
