Chelsea may finally get their hands on reported transfer target Niklas Sule.
The Bayern Munich defender has been linked with a move to the Blues since last summer, but the arrival of Thiago Silva put Chelsea’s need for a centre-back on hold.
Though, Silva is now 36 years of age, and with Fikayo Tomori looking likely to join AC Milan on a permanent deal this summer – AC Milan holding an option to buy in his loan – Chelsea might just be thinking ahead,
And there is an opportunity to be had in the name of Sule, with the latest reports from AbendZeitung claiming Bayern Munich are now willing to sell the centre-back and that Tuchel is already ‘very interested’.
It’s reported Sule will be sold in order to raise money for Bayern to freshen their squad this summer amid the exit of David Alaba and the expected departure of Jerome Boateng.
Sula is only under contract for another year from this summer, and Bayern are going to be caught in that classic dilemma of offering the German a new contract or selling him and making a profit now, otherwise, he will be available to speak to clubs and arrange a free transfer from January.

The 33-year-old is priced at £33.3million by Transfermarkt, which is significantly cheaper than what it would cost Chelsea to sign a top-level centre-back like Raphael Varane, who is reportedly available this summer.
Varane would likely cost the Blues around £60million, perhaps lessening their chances of signing a top-class striker, and given the depth Tuchel already has at centre-back, Chelsea might be persuaded to move for Sule, who reportedly has a big fan in the Blues boss.
