Here are your Tottenham morning headlines for Thursday, March 18.
Spurs to ‘listen’ to Sanchez offers
That’s according to the Daily Express, with reports stating that Sanchez could make way with Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his backline ahead of next season.
A centre-back appears to be at the top of Mourinho’s list heading into the summer, but it would be a little surprising, given the need to strengthen in that area, if Spurs sold Sanchez, who has featured regularly this season.
Sanchez signed on a deal worth up to £42million in 2017 and still has a contract at the club until 2024, and reports in Spain suggest that Sevilla could move for the Spurs defender, should Jules Kounde depart this summer.
Mourinho talks Lo Celso
Mourinho has discussed the importance of having Giovani Lo Celso back after around three months without the midfielder through injury.
“Yeah, he’s a very talented player and he’s a player with good competitive qualities,” said Mourinho in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Dinamo Zagreb tie. “Of course we missed him for a long time.
“I don’t think he has 90 minutes in his legs but he looked very confident in these three sessions that he did with the team on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, so I don’t feel any limitations with him.
“I think the team needs him because he’s a quality player and he’s also very competitive. I believe even for some players to have him there, he will help some, he will scare others and I think we need that.”
Pochettino wants Aurier
Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing a swoop for a Tottenham player ahead of this summer.
Aurier, who played for PSG for three years between 2014 and 2017, struggled at times last season amid difficult circumstances off the pitch, but he has become a key part of Jose Mourinho’s plans this season, featuring regularly in the Spurs back-line.
But he could be available this summer unless Tottenham want to offer him a new deal, and that’s because his current contract expires in 2022.
That means that if he doesn’t pen a new deal this summer, Tottenham would be risking losing him for free the following year with Aurier free to discuss terms with any club outside England from January.

With that in mind, PSG think there could be a deal in the offing with a report claiming Aurier’s contract situation could make him available for just £10.3million.
It’s also claimed that Pochettino will be hoping to steal a march on any possible competition for the Ivory Coast international.
The pair worked together at Tottenham, with Pochettino signing Aurier in 2017 from PSG for £23million.
