Jose Mourinho is speaking to the media following Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 win at Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Spurs came into the game needing to get back on track after a poor week that brought a north London derby victory at Arsenal and an embarrassing collapse in the Europa League at Dinamo Zagreb.
Mourinho made a number of changes, including pairing Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius together for the first time in a starting line-up.
Vinicius opened the scoring with his first Premier League goal. Lucas Moura won a ball and played a one-two with Kane before picking out his compatriot with a low ball across the six-yard box.
Tottenham’s second goal came in the second half when Tanguy Ndombele won the ball back for Lucas Moura to feed Kane. Although the striker miscued his effort, he was brought down in the box and he buried the subsequent penalty kick.
Spurs took the three points and now lie in sixth place, just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
