Sean Dyche has been making headlines during his press conferences recently.
The Burnley boss was involved in a lengthy discussion about lookalikes during a press conference earlier this month, with the video for the media call going viral.
Not one to get bogged down by “boring questions” as he called them, the Clarets boss has been at it again this week.
Burnley take on Spurs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday and there has already been a big link between the two clubs in the lead-up to the clash in N17 with Nick Pope emerging as a reported transfer target for Tottenham.
Hugo Lloris turned 34 in December and a long-term replacement may be on the horizon for Jose Mourinho and Spurs.
Pope, along with Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson has emerged as a potential signing this summer, with the Burnley shotstopper’s current contract expiring in 2023.
Burnley could, therefore, be inclined to cash in on him this summer, if he does not choose to extends his deal at Turf Moor, with there being less of a price tag around his head next summer with only one year remaining on his deal.
But in true Dyche style, any question about Pope was batted away in hilarious fashion during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
When asked by our friends at Lancs Live if it would take a “massive offer” to take Pope away from the Lancashire outfit, Dyche responded: “How do you know every offer would have to be massive?
“If they offered a bag of crisps, a pint of lager, in a pub, at the moment with the way things are going, I might be swayed. I might actually take it!”

When pushed even further, Dyche was not going to get on the straight and narrow with his answer.
“I have just told you what the price is, if someone can find a way of changing the rules of the country, get me a pint and a big of crisps then I will have to try and hang on to Popey the best I could.”
Dyche went on to reveal his preferred flavour of crisps that Spurs could tempt him into selling Pope with
“Pickled Onion Monster Munch have got to be up there. Anything steak minded or beef. That would do.”
