Premier League contenders Liverpool visit Tottenham on Sunday in one of the few games in the top flight actually being played following a surge in positive COVID cases at clubs. The Reds have been in red-hot form and can potentially finish the day atop the table with a win. Spurs enter the day in seventh place but could finish the day as high as fifth with an unlikely, lopsided victory. Here’s our storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

How to watch and odds

Date: Sunday, Dec. 19 | Time: 11: 30 a.m. ET

TV: None | Live stream: Peacock
Odds: Tottenham +440; Draw +325; Liverpool -170 (via Caesars Sportsbook)

Storylines

Tottenham: After a COVID outbreak saw their last match postponed, they have just two positive cases left. Star defender Cristian Romero remains out with a hamstring injury though, while Gio Lo Cleso and Sergio Reguilon look set to return from knocks and could very well star. Spurs have won their last three games of the season but face one of their toughest tasks here, one that will be unlikely to be pulled of with Romero out.

Liverpool: Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Curtis Jones tested positive for COVID-19, but the club is holding out hope that they were false positives and that they will be able to play. As of Friday, manager Jurgen Klopp told the press nothing was confirmed. Meanwhile Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita are both back and gelling after strong performances against Newcastle that could see them earn significant minutes here.

Prediction

The Reds deliver once again against Spurs as a Diogo Jota double puts it out of reach. Pick: Liverpool 3, Tottenham 1
