By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under‑17 Belize Men’s National Team (U17 BMNT) opened their journey to the 2026 Concacaf U‑17 Qualifiers with a 4–0 win over Acafut Tigritos of Petén at the Marco Antonio Fion Castellanos Stadium in Santa Elena, Petén, on Sunday, securing a strong boost of confidence as they continued toward Guatemala City.

The team departed Belize earlier in the day and stopped in Flores for a scheduled friendly against ACAFUT Tigritos. The match served as a key tune‑up ahead of the regional competition, and the young Belizean squad delivered a commanding performance.

Belize’s goals came from four different players, namely:

– Juan Diego Dussan

– Jordan Glenn

– Jahson Stanford

– Daayvion Serano

The 4–0 result capped a productive first day on the road, with the BMNT now fully focused on their opening qualifier in Guatemala City this coming Friday against Curacao.

The Football Federation of Belize noted that the friendly was an important step in sharpening the team’s readiness as the countdown to kickoff continues.

Belize will also pay against Cuba and El Salvador.
