‘Welcome!’ – Excited Arsenal fans react on Instagram as Mikel Arteta oversees transfer audition

Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion could be a transfer audition for one player in particular.

Yves Bissouma has linked with a summer move to a number of clubs in England, including the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

However, it would appear that the Gunners are in pole position to win the race for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Our colleagues at the Daily Star recently reported that Arsenal are ‘confident’ of landing Bissouma – but only for a £30million fee, and they are already well aware that they may have to pay another big sum for a midfielder, having spent £45million on Thomas Partey last summer.

Tipped as the perfect midfield partner for the Ghana international, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta could get the chance to get a closer look at Bissouma when his side host Graham Potter’s team.

It remains to be seen if Bissouma plays his final game for Brighton at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon, but he has recently teased an exit.

“I don’t have much to say about that [transfer speculation] because I’m at Brighton for the moment,” Bissouma said. “I consider myself a Brighton player, so the most important thing right now, as I said, is to stay up.

“We’ll try and stay up, and God willing, we’ll see how things go next season.”

Well, the Seagulls have stayed up and Bissouma has taken to social media to hype up facing the club who are reportedly interested in signing him this summer.

“Always smiling and ready for done the job tomorrow,” he wrote on Instagram.

Judging by the response from some Gunners fans to the post, it’s clear they are excited about seeing Bissouma in action and sent the midfielder a transfer message.
