David Moyes is talking to the media ahead of West Ham’s Premier League fixture at home to Leeds United on Monday night.

West Ham have slipped to sixth in the table following Chelsea and Everton’s mid-week wins but the Hammers are just two points behind their London rivals with a game in hand over Thomas Tuchel’s team.

By the time the Hammers kick off on Monday evening, they could have moved further down the table due to all their European rivals playing ahead of them in this weekend’s round of fixtures. However, with 12 games remaining for the Hammers their European destiny remains in their own hands.

With a difficult run of fixtures coming up, including a trip to Old Trafford and a home clash with Arsenal before the international break, three points against an inconsistent Leeds is essential for Moyes to maintain West Ham’s European push.

The Hammers won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Elland Road in December with goals from Tomas Soucek and a late Angelo Ogbonna header to seal all three points, a repeat performance from West Ham would be most welcome on Monday.

Lukasz Fabianski was a late withdrawal from the team to take on Manchester City with an arm injury suffered in training and the manager should provide an update on his condition and that of other injury absentees Ryan Fredericks, Ogbonna, Andriy Yarmolenko and Arthur Masuaku.
