Paul Pogba has previously given Ainsley Maitland-Niles some advice amid fresh reports that Manchester United are interested in the Arsenal man.
The versatile 23-year-old, who can play as a full-back or across midfield, has spent the second half of the season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, in order to play consistent football.
If he does indeed move to Old Trafford, then he could link up with United star Pogba, who has already made his feelings on Maitland-Niles clear in the past.
Towards the end of the 2017/18 season, the Gunners were beaten 2-1 in Manchester and Maitland-Niles revealed the embrace between the pair at the full-time whistle.
“He said to me that I need to keep working hard,” Maitland-Niles told Sky Sports following the match.
“He enjoyed playing against me and that was it really.
“He just told me to keep going and gave me some words of advice which was nice.”

Maitland-Niles has impressed for West Brom since moving to the Hawthorns on loan in January, but was unable to prevent their relegation back down to the Championship.
Reports suggest that Everton, Leeds United and Southampton are set to fight Man United for his signature at the end of the season – as he moves into the final two years of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
