When Chelsea fans can buy UEFA Super Cup tickets as Blues prepare to face Villarreal

Chelsea , the reigning European champions, will face Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup at Windsor Park in Belfast on August 11 in front of a capacity of 13,000, three days before the Blues’ Premier League opener against London rivals, Crystal Palace.

Every fan will be asked to show proof of a negative PCR or lateral flow Covid-19 test upon entry in line with Northern Ireland’s legislation, and unfortunately, the lucky few allowed to watch the game will not be able to buy food or drink from kiosks as a result of regulations.

The vast majority of the Chelsea players involved will not be 100% fit having returned late to pre-season training after representing their countries at the European Championships and Copa America respectively over the summer.

Those who have undertaken pre-season at Cobham and at the club’s planned training camp in Dublin – such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic – should be nailed on to start in the Super Cup as they bid to help clinch the trophy for only the second time in the club’s history.

Even with Chelsea not at full strength and some restrictions still in place, it promises to be a fantastic spectacle, and UEFA have announced how fans can purchase tickets, which are available from 40 euros (£34.11).

Applicants can apply for up to two tickets per person. The tickets will be personalised, and each applicant is required to provide their personal details and guest details on the ticket portal.

Ticket sales to the general public for the 2021 UEFA Super Cup will be sold exclusively on UEFA.com.
