Arsenal fans have a clear message for Edu and Mikel Arteta following a disappointing season for the Gunners.
The north London side have endured a difficult season and could miss out on European football for the first time in 25 years.
It will come down to the final day for the Gunners, with Arsenal needing to beat Brighton at home and hope other results go their way to secure a place in the Europa Conference League next season.
But whatever happens on the final day of the season, it is expected to be a busy summer in north London, with a huge overhaul of the playing squad at the Emirates on the horizon.
football.london understands that technical director Edu Gaspar hopes to bring in at least five new faces in the summer transfer window, including a goalkeeper and a creative central attacking-midfielder.
With the Gunners’ in the market for a number of players, Crystal Palace winger and Arsenal fan Wilfried Zaha has admitted that he would be open to leaving the Eagles this summer.
Talking to The Face, as quoted by the Express, Zaha said: “I feel like I can have another shot at the top teams, because my dream is to win things.
“I’m good enough to go out there and compete with the best
“If the opportunity came, I wouldn’t turn it down, because I feel like I deserve it. It’s so I can show my kids: ‘This is what daddy won’.”
And judging by the reaction on social media, many Arsenal fans have urged the club to sign Zaha , although some are sceptical.
Take a look at some of the best responses on Twitter…
Zaha, who has scored 11 league goals this season, was reportedly a target for Arsenal during Unai Emery’s time in charge in the summer of 2019.
But the club ended up opting for Zaha’s international teammate Nicolas Pepe instead.
With Arsenal looking for proven top-class players and Zaha potentially on his way out of Palace, could the Gunners make a swoop for the Ivorian this summer though?
