Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for former goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Though, he could be edged out of Turin this summer depending on what Juventus do in the transfer market, or at least that is according to Gazetta dello Sport.
The Italian publication claim Szczesny would become available if Juventus snap up soon-to-be free agent Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer.
Donnarumma is yet to agree a new deal with AC Milan and Juve are said to be keen on a move, though that would likely lead Szczesny to an exit.
The report names Arsenal as a possible destination for the Poland international, citing the fact he would count as a homegrown player having come through as a youngster at the Emirates Stadium.
And while Arsenal are by no means certain to make a move this summer, particularly not if Bernd Leno stays put, Szczesny would be keen on a return, it seems.
He told the Arsenal Nation Podcast last year: “I miss them [his former teammates]. I miss playing at the Emirates. I think that was something special for me, the quality of the pitch, the fans, the big nights in a north London derby.

“The emotions were quite different because whatever you do in your career, and some of us have gone on to make great things and have made a great career whereas some have maybe made a step back, there’s nothing like playing for the club that you love. The emotion of that is something special.”
That would suggest Szczesny may be open to a return to the Emirates Stadium should the opportunity come up.
