The North London Derby is 10 days away but the build up has already begun.
Earlier this week Mikel Arteta began the mind games by questioning UEFA’s decision to switch Tottenham‘s Europa League Round of 16 fixtures so that they have their home leg first.
This means that they will not have to travel to and from Croatia ahead of the clash at the Emirates Stadium on March 14th as was originally drawn, while Arsenal will have to make a near 4,000 mile round trip to Athens and back to take on Olympiacos.
“It does,” he said when asked if it gives Spurs an edge.
“But unfortunately we’re not going to change that. We can raise our voices and we should do that, because we want to have at least two teams that are in equal conditions.”
And now Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has done something that will surely delight Arsenal fans ahead of the match, and risk the wrath of the Spurs faithful!
The Gunners captain has had a mixed season, struggling to find the back of the net for most of the early part. But with five goals in his last four starts, it seems as though he is getting back to his best.
Off the pitch Aubameyang is a prolific gamer and was doing a live stream of FIFA 21 on Twitch on Wednesday night, revealing the squad of players he had at his disposal.
In a very attacking line up the 31-year-old had a 99-rated Pro Player version of himself in attack, which is an incredible maxed out item that EA Sports give out to professional footballers who are fans of the game!
In what is an incredible squad, the striker has FUT Icons like Pele, Didier Drogba, the Brazilian Ronaldo and Ruud Gullit in his eleven, with players like Kylian Mbappe, Ferland Mendy, Raphael Varane, Virgil van Dijk, Kyle Walker and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen completing his squad.
However, Aubameyang also had none other than Spurs striker Harry Kane in his squad, but he’s left him to rot in his reserves!
Kane had to make do with a place in the reserves, alongside Liverpool defender Joe Gomez and Leeds United striker Rodrigo.
On his bench, players like Raheem Sterling, Ousmane Dembele and Arsenal teammate Nicolas Pepe all featured.
Kane is not a popular figure amongst Gooners around the globe after scoring 11 goals in 14 North London Derbies over the past six and a half seasons.
